Huntington-Surrey School is a private secular secondary school located in Austin, TX. It was founded in 1973 and is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood, North of the University of Texas campus. The school offers a college-preparatory curriculum with a particular focus on composition and literature, with standard science, history, and math classes required as well. Electives are offered on Fridays, drawing on the various interests and talents of the faculty. Some remarkable features of the student experience at Huntington-Surrey include the small class sizes, short school days, and the absence of math homework. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
