Hunter is a 3D action adventure computer game for the Amiga, and Atari ST, where the player navigates around a series of islands. The game was made and released in 1991.

The player can move by using many vehicles including bicycle, tank, car, van, ship, surf board, rowing boat and helicopter and can also communicate with other characters.

[edit] Stages

There are three different modes to choose from that are also individual games.

  • The first mode is called 'Hunter' and is an action-adventure game in which communication with other characters is important. The players mission is to assassinate an enemy general.
  • In the 'Missions' mode, the player has to complete a short mission and then return to headquarters in order to receive another one. The last mission is to destroy the enemy headquarters.
  • The last mode is called 'Action' and is one large mission, in which the player has to destroy a preset number of targets in any order they wish.

[edit] Platforms

Visually the Amiga and Atari ST versions are almost indistinguishable from one another. However the in-game sound effects for vehicles and weapons are quite different.
