Hungry Fighter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hungry Fighter were a very short-lived rock band formed in England in 1974, by two former members of Fleetwood Mac.

In 1974 Dave Walker got together with drummer Dave Bidwell & bassist Andy Silvester, plus ex-Fleetwood Mac guitarist Danny Kirwan, and they formed a unit they called Hungry Fighter. (Kirwan had been fired from Fleetwood Mac himself in August 1972 and Dave Walker had "replaced" him on vocals while Bob Weston had replaced Kirwan on guitar.)

However, they had only managed to play one live gig which took place at the University of Surrey in Guildford, England (which was not recorded) before fizzling out.

One track on Kirwan's second solo album Midnight In San Juan (1976) was written by Dave Walker - this may possibly have originated from their Hungry Fighter days.
