Please do not add unhelpful and unconstructive information to Wikipedia, as you did to Tom DeLay. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hut 8.5 15:34, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- I apologise for issuing you the above warning. Feel free to remove it. Your edit did not fall under the definition of vandalism, though it looked like it to me at the time.
- However, if you wish to dispute the neutrality of an article, you should not add your own personalised disclaimers. (Note there can be legal implications.) Instead, you should place the tag {{npov}} at the top of the page, and then discuss the article with other editors on the article's discussion page. Hut 8.5 10:06, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
== Tom Delay Changes ==
Vandalism or disclaimer? I appreciate your concern, but I wish to notify the users/visitors of Mr. Delay's page that the page has in fact been edited by Rosie O'Donnell, in personal attacks on him. I am neither a fan or foe of either of those individuals, but I am against misinformation. This story was covered on the well-known Drudge Report. Is it vandalism to warn readers that the content has been written/altered by a critic? That the subject matter's bias is in dispute? Please instruct me how to put a 'this article's fairness is in dispute' warning/disclaimer at the top. If you wish to revert the article, then please revert it back past Ms. O'Donnell's changes as well. I did not alter, remove, or vandalize any of the page. I removed nothing. I inserted a warning, nothing else. Inserting a warning is not unconstructive. Removing it is. Thank you. By the way, I'm a little confused as to how you became the arbiter of fairness on Wikipedia? Just curious.Humbleradio 02:41, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Littlecub.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Littlecub.jpg.
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Greencub.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Greencub.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Supercubbook.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Supercubbook.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:56, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in The Lady Vanishes (1938 film). Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 05:08, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] A Motorcycle Wiki
Hey Humbleradio, Here's an opportunity to put your expertise on motorcycles. Cycle Chaos is a Wiki-styled web site that needs a lot of help from people who love bikes and can contribute more information and even more manufacturers. There's virtually no problems with administrators and it seems free to edit without any trouble. You seem to be someone who can offer some content, images, categories, that may be lacking. My user page is: Cycle Chaos, Noles1984 so stop by and say hello and see if you can be of help. Thanks. Noles1984 (talk) 16:38, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article The Lady Vanishes (1938 film), you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 01:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Also, Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a few other websites, are regarded by the WikiProject Films community as appropriate links to provide content to the reader. It is an aggregate of reviews, so readers can pick and choose reviews to read at that website. The "External links" section cannot serve as a link farm, and unfortunately, a conflict of interest has been demonstrated in soliciting the blog The Cinemated Man. If you are credible, then certainly you have been published outside of a blog. Your reviews can be incorporated into the articles by an independent editor. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 01:44, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
-
- I'm not "including" the external links. If you think they are inappropriate, too, you are welcome to remove them. Also, I am not vandalizing the articles. I've explained the reason for the removal of that *.blogspot.com link. If anything, links to reliable sources should be directly implemented into articles and not just be gathered at the external links section. If you are an authority as you say, certainly you have been published outside a mere blog and can incorporate the details of these publications into the film articles. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 05:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
