[edit] License tagging for Image:Mirza crest.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Mirza crest.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:08, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Referencing

If you really are the author of From Plassey to Pakistan, you still need to cite it properly with page numbers. For instance, you wrote in Iskander Mirza: "FROM PLASSEY TO PAKISTAN By Humayun Mirza FROM DAWN NEWSPAPER. FROM PERSONAL COLLECTIONS AND TRUE STORY ON MAJOR-GENERAL ISKANDER MIRZA (PRIVATE DOCUMENTS)". This is not sufficient and needs to comply with WP:CITE.--Agha Nader 21:12, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial use of Image:Mozart-SQuartet-K458-3.ogg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Mozart-SQuartet-K458-3.ogg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Mozart-SQuartet-K458-3.ogg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Mozart-SQuartet-K458-3.ogg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:58, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rachel Sterling

A tag has been placed on Rachel Sterling, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

spam and copyvio from http://www.starfool.com/Rachel_Sterling.html

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tabercil 19:21, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

Please do not remove referenced information, as you did at the article Mir Jafar. You have been warned. Thanks. --Ragib 08:31, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. --Ragib 08:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

I've reported this to the 3RR noticeboard. --Ragib 08:42, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mir Jafar edit war

I see that you're involved in a dispute over the content of Mir Jafar, yet haven't made any comments on the talk page. Could you please discuss the issue there before further reverts, so that page protection can be avoided? Thank you. kmccoy (talk) 09:15, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 09:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Take it easy, enjoy your wikibreak

Hi HM, sorry to hear that - things get tense here sometimes. I tend to work on articles where people don't get so personally involved, and that makes it a lot easier for me. Have a good break. Watch a funny movie perhaps - works for me. --Chriswaterguy talk 23:02, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Do you have something for stress relief? Yoga works well for me - other forms of exercise are good too. And mindfulness. Take it easy. --Chriswaterguy talk 17:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey, thanks. I'm working round the clock on Appropedia at the moment. Exciting developments coming. Need to get more sleep though (still awake at 6:20am...) --Chriswaterguy talk 22:23, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Hope you're well - and have a good holiday season! --Chriswaterguy talk 05:02, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Mirza19nov1954.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mirza19nov1954.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 02:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

Hi Humayun. I just thought that with all the news about Benazir, people might want some good information about her father, another prominent figure in Pakistani history. I want to bring the article up to GA status, but there are a few citations needed. I wonder if you can help with that. Danny (talk) 11:22, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Details on Iskander Ali Mirza

Dear Sir,

Regarding your note of 20 February, I would like to say that I am an amateur historian of Indian heritage who likes to occasionally research as a minor interest, including but not limited to research on the Indian princely families, the Indian independence movement and the politics of the states that rose from the ruined British Raj-India and Pakistan.

The website I used in editing the article on your illustrious ancestor is:

[1]. It is a public-domain British genealogical database on the ruling dynasties of India, and is extremely detailed: I wanted to include only the details about your ancestor's family to note that he left descendants and to give their names. I only took from the database what was included under his eldest son for that reason; I did not mean to offend in any way. If you like, I can edit out the specific information on Humayun Mirza Sr.

You pinged me ?? -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 06:14, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I hate to sound like an arse but I'm not really sure what you're talking about. Maybe you're confusing me with somebody else? On IRC I use the username tombom, if that helps. I don't know, maybe I've just forgotten something. --Tombomp (talk) 16:30, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

It's not being deleted as far as I can see. Can you be a bit more specific? --Tombomp (talk) 16:45, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
