No, HR consulting and management consulting are different fields with independent histories dominated by different firms. This article should be properly developed, unfortunately I am not competent to do this (which is why I went to Wikipedia in the first place). I do know quite a bit about the other genres of consulting though. steven 10:35, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure I understand what makes this article a stand-alone outside of Human Resources. A merge may be in order if the material here belongs in that article instead. MKoltnow 05:08, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

HR Consulting is a subset of Management Consulting because Human Resources Management is a core aspect of Management Accounting. I am in support of a merger between these two articles.Deone 13:29, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
No, if different fields, may or may not, be subsets of one another, it would be best to NOT merge the articles but simply link them, in order to allow the potential of a COMPLETE in depth development of either or both article(s). Also, such vast fields would best be illustrated by different fully developed articles with links amongst them, rather than one HUGE article with many many subsets. 86.217.66.57 17:28, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
I question why this is considered an article worthy of separate entry at all. Purely providing a list of subjects on which HR consultants can advise on is to a large extent just a summary of what HR is all about anyway. True a small number of these are ones which firms more frequently seek external expertise and might find a home in a discussion on Management Consultancy. The inclusion of some selected Human Resource Consultancies is also inappropriate. I do not think this justifies the current distinct entry as the disciplines are intertwined. It does not further add to this as an encyclopaedia entry and I can see considerable issues arising with every Tom, Dick and Harriet wanting their firm small or large being incorporated here. (I suspect it might contravene Wiki rules to list commercial firms in this way). In the UK HRConsultancy is not seen as a subset of Management Accounting a fad which has thankfully fallen out of fashion.)Tmol42 14:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Recent improvements to the article by User:Email4jonathan have made the article more substantial and taken away its use as a coatrack for boosters of various consultancies. I don't think there's any reason to merge the articles. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 17:57, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

The article certainly describes HR consulting in the US, but I'm not sure whether it adequately covers HR consulting in other countries. Also, it isn't clear to me whether the dollar figures are solely for the US or the companies' global operations. I don't understand what all the fuss is about b/c all the major HR consultancies are international companies, and their revenues (as reported on this page) reflect worldwide figures (go check out their individual sites for more citations). --Email4jonathan (talk) 19:16, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
