Gross! The "glistening from the amniotic fluid" & blood didn't freak me out, it was the cone shaped head that did it. Do all vaginally born babies come out with heads like that? - old97

Many do, though head shape certainly varies. The "cone" shape helps the baby travel through the birth canal. It usually rounds out during the first few months, as the skull is soft and not yet fully formed at birth. Eiffelle 00:48, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
