Image title | A revised Hawk and Super Snipe range arrived in 1957 introducing unitary construction to Humber models for the first time. As with previous Humber model line-ups the new range started with the four cylinder Hawk, however it now shared the same basic bodyshell as the larger six cylinder Super Snipe.
The new body had an almost American appearance with a full width grille and substantial chrome bumpers. Inside the Hawk was well appointed, body styles included saloon, estate and a "Touring Limousine" version. Revised Series IA and II versions of the Hawk were systematically introduced, the Series II adding servo assisted brakes to the specification, finally a Series III Hawk made its debut in 1962. |
