In October, 2005 a partnership was formulized where the Town of Orangeville donated a 28 acre building site on Veterans’ Way – County Road # 16 in the northwest section of the community.

Humber will develop a full-service regional campus to be built over the next 10 to 12 years.Three phases are planned for the campus design including a student residence, as well as an Arboretum. Construction on phase one is planned to be completed by 2009.

Academic and general programming research was conducted throughout the first half of 2006 to assist in the development of a specific ‘academic plan’ for the new college.

Beginning in the fall of 2006, a diverse grouping of interest driven topics in the form of ‘Workshops’ will be presented by award-winning authors, quality faculty, and content experts at a variety of locations in the community.

An Orangeville Campus Community Relations Office was opened in January 2006 to facilitate academic research and ‘general’ community awareness of the new college campus. [3]
