Human Development Foundation of North America

The Human Development Foundation of North America was incorporated in the state of Illinois in 1997 as a registered 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit charity [1]. One of the key people behind the organization is Khalid Riaz, a cardiologist. Khalid Riaz and Shahnaz Khan are current co-chairs of HDF. Their main office is located in Schaumburg, Illinois. Of late most of their charity work has been directed towards rebuilding damage caused by the 2005 Pakistan earthquake.

Human Development Foundation of North America (HDF)is an NGO that has network chapters in US, Canada, and supporters in UK and the Gulf states.

HDF has adopted human development model as proposed by Late Mahbub ul Haq in the 1960s. HDF motto is 'Helping People Help Themselves'. HDF is striving to meet UN Millinium Development Goals (MDGs) in its 8 project areas in Pakistan.
