Hulahoop Productions

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hulahoop Productions is an independant Australian music label focused mainly on bringing underground music to the attention of listeners worldwide. Hulahoop is owned and operated soley by its founders, Jadienne Lane and Jessica Fiore,[1] who are based in Perth but are continually travelling in search of new music and new methods of successfully working in the indusrty without becoming a major label. Hulahoop and it's owners pride themselves on their genuine passion for music and the desire to assist artists in any way possible, without the intentions of personal gain.

[edit] History

Since its opening, Hulahoop has managed to step out of the confines of its hometown, Perth WA, and make its mark upon the industry at an international level. Already having experience working with such musical events as Australia's Big Day Out,[2] Hulahoop decided to break away from the traditional methods of the industry, declare its independance and begin its work to revolutionize the artist/label relationship. With national and international tours being its main focus initially, Hulahoop is now expanding itself into the realm of band management and signings, already said to have picked up Triple J's Unearthed winners, The Preytells,[3] who have been tagged as 'The Next Big Thing' to come out of Australia. Hulahoop has recently been rumoured to be working with international acts Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Warlocks, The Vines, Miranda Lee Richards and The Morlocks and with the business setting out to relocate to Los Angeles, California in the next 12 months, it would seem that the list is only going to grow.
