[edit] Blanking vs deleting
Hi, I noticed you blanked Cherskiy Range, which is a redirect to Verkhoyansk Range. Note that you can't delete pages by blanking them, so blanked pages are harmful because they have a tendency to confuse readers. The correct way to deal with an inappropriate redirect is to nominate it for deletion here. Thanks for your understanding. --Zoz (t) 16:39, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rivers
No, it's thank you for creating those articles. Good job! I hope more is coming. And it's not like my English is perfect, either ;) But I do notice that writing in it helps a lot. So it's a good way to learn it. Renata 18:26, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Agrh, sorry for a late reply. There was WP:BSNB for Baltic states, but that's inactive for a long time already. WP:LITH has sections for various requests and announcements. I think it's good enough, or are you looking for something specific? Renata 17:42, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
What's wrong with the maps? Renata (talk) 23:04, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- See, almost all images look the same: it's very hard to differentiate one river from another. And maps are extremely helpful in undertanding where it is, and saves a lot of "it flows west, then eats, then turnes around... Another possible solution: write longer articles so that both fit in ;) Renata (talk) 21:31, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Automated message to bot owners
As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:
Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.
Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 03:02, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Malfunction
Hi. I just had to revert an edit to [8rabbit]] by your bot. It added links to numerous languages but also deleted three. The only one I looked at was the Dutch version, a pretty common language, and the article exists. I cannot understand how your bot would make a mistake like that. Greetings TINYMARK 20:54, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- No,sorry. This bot is still not functioning correctly! It removed the link to the German page "Whisky" from the English "Scotch Whisky" page. Absolutely unnecessary. Why??? If anything it could have changed the link to the German "Scotch Whisky" page, but that only redirects to "Whisky" anyway. This appear to be an error in the logic (or intent) rather than a malfunction). TINYMARK 12:46, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

- Bot has just changed Snail thusly: Adding: ay, gn, tr Removing: da, de, fi, hu, nl, no, pl, sv. Why? I don't know all of those languages, but I do read Danish, Norwegian (bokmål) and Swedish, and I can see no reason for removing them. I'll be reverting your changes, and you may add in ay, gn, tr again, if appropriate. --Hordaland (talk) 17:22, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hawaii: bot edit
Your bot has just added "Havajai (sala)" as Italian for the island of Hawaii, which is clearly wrong. Awien (talk) 22:44, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's [lt] Lithuanian not Italian [it] language. Hugo.arg (talk) 08:29, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
