Great stuff with the Albany area articles btw! Keep up the great work and photographs. Orderinchaos 10:46, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

As a complete aside, I'm a trainee teacher, and am also a chemistry graduate. :) Orderinchaos 13:14, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Yep, hopefully! Science and Maths are my target areas for year 9 and upwards - already been on one prac (got another soon) and had a great time. Orderinchaos 13:35, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Just thought I'd say you're doing a fantastic job with the articles down that way :) One day when I'm not busy I'll have to go nuts on creating the suburb articles for Albany and Geraldton (that region isn't well covered either, and I'm just about to go up there). I just created the article for Mira Mar - seems like a nice spot! Working through endless assignments for the Grad Dip at the moment, and looking forward to second prac. [edit] Trivia

sections in small articles about west australian locations are indeed passionately disliked by some eds who tend to delete those sections with no hesitation - always better to think of a better heading than that. Also - have a look at the talk page for toolbrunup - when starting new articles about wa locations - try to make sure they have that - works as a form of insurance forthe articles as well as tying them in SatuSuro 10:31, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi I am wondering if I didnt explain sufficiently - once you have created an article - that to add the project tags on the talk/discussion page actually helps you and the project - the australian and the west australian projects as well - has any one pointed out that when you create new articles there other places to put things up as well? SatuSuro 09:07, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

It is well worth having a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:New_articles_%28Australia%29 where when you start an article you can list it there for a start SatuSuro 09:11, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
and if you look closely there you will see links to the DYK pages - which seeing you started the art - you are well place to nominate a new article by yourself SatuSuro 09:13, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reminder

Wikipedia:Meetup/Perth/3 is next sunday 19th August, if you haven't already please sign on the meetup page if your coming, if your still unsure indicate anyway so I can confirm numbers with the venue thankyou Gnangarra 00:47, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the articles on Ron Boucher, Brad Shine and Jon Fogarty - it's great that people remember these guys and write articles on players from so long ago. I remember watching all these guys play at Bassendean when I was younger and just how awesome they all were. Keep up the good work —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.91.94.251 (talk) 05:14, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] cat tags

Hi - I hope I am not beating you to it every time - but to me cats (and the main australian fish article is one of the worst i have ever seen in the australian project but i am not up with the info unfortunately) and tags that i see around i tend to plonk them on without asking. BTW very impressed by the range of your articles - wish we had an editor like you in every other regional location of wa - we'd be way out front beyond the other state projects! cheers SatuSuro 13:42, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Western mud minnow

It all depends - if your info is better/improved on the original article - include the info in yours - whichever way - and when you have gutted the other - then change the remaining empty art into a redirect page - probably best way to go - cheers SatuSuro 05:18, 3 October 2007 (UTC) Excellent - looks good! SatuSuro 11:04, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Do you ever talk to other editors? There are a few articles and issues it would be useful to have a chat about. cheers SatuSuro 09:56, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
A number of things - like it was some of the islands off the south coast in the Esperance area - I recently started the recherche archipelago and a few others i had in mind - it was a curiosity about online sources/ vs the henrietta sources that i tend to add as further reading - no big deal - you might be interested off wiki - gmail - I dont know its up to you! anyways I will be off for a bit - back after 7 or so - cheers and thanks for responding - I fully understand why some prefer to keep their talk to a minimum - I am a bit of an online/wiki chatterer at the best of times. SatuSuro 10:08, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Ok thats a good example - apart from Woody - do you think there are islands in the archipelago that deserve their own article? SatuSuro 11:49, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
To your question yes (I have a very overdue long overdue cleanup of the monte belloe islands to so dometime - it might be an idea of not how to do it - list with no coord - i think its better to build from the islands we now about and put some details and their coords before putting a list with none. Just an idea anyways cheers SatuSuro 13:59, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Viz Montebello Islands i think looks embarrassing - specially the half done list at the bottom - I think the way you have filled in the details already is a much better way to go - thanks for that.SatuSuro 14:08, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Oh I tend to use so much shorthand - the reference to henrietta above was to [1] which i use as well as physically going in every week at least to battye or sro - collect more than i can ever write up SatuSuro 14:11, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much - I dont know how you feel about it - but I really appreciate the help -it looks much better than the monte bello one - thanks SatuSuro 15:17, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your response - and your help - I think there is a need to separates the western group from the eastern as the musueum guys did surveys and identified the groups as east and west - cheers SatuSuro 15:23, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ia for is

Hi. I've been fixing "ia" for "is" spelling errors on wikipedia and I noticed a lot of them on pages about australian footballers that you created. I assume you used some sort of scanner. Just be aware that it is frequently mis-scanning the word "is". Jason Quinn (talk) 00:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page/discussion page

There is never a need to sign your allocating tags - anyone can check the page history to see the cuplrit:) SatuSuro 12:45, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Dunno how this works, but here goes. I'm the one who made corrections to Black-stripe minnow. I think the info on Fishbase about distribution (to Esperence) is related to old (1960-70s?)specimens or surveys which were incorrectly identified as B-sm, but were probably mud minnows. No B-sm's have ever been recorded East of Albany. Sorry about deleting the link to Fishbase, even though it might not be entirely accurate or up to date, it is one of the only websites easily accessable with info about the b-sm, apart from Wiki. I'm in the process of trying to correct Fishbase also. I have an interset in this fish as it is the subject of my Masters research. Catchya. Dave.Minnowman (talk) 16:45, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
