Three matters Evidently someone has simply inserted this but it needs to be incorporated: "N.B. Hugh Fullerton never graduated from Ohio State University. He was kicked out for unknown reasons (he never explained to his family. He was later honored by the university for his writing"

The "power-hitting Chicago White Sox" of 1906 are the famous "Hitless Wonders" --last in the league in home runs, batting average and slugging average. Maybe "power-hitting" is someone's joke. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1906.shtml
