Hugo Duncan is a singer and BBC broadcaster from Strabane, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland. His nickname is "The wee man from Strabane".
He has two music programmes on BBC Radio in Northern Ireland; Country Afternoon with Hugo Duncan on Radio Ulster each weekday from 13:30 to 15:00, and on Radio Foyle, every Sunday from 15:00 to 17:00. The theme tune used on his BBC Radio Ulster show is Rocky Top, while he closes each programme with Yakety Sax, also known as the theme to The Benny Hill Show.
Hugo is also a live singer, playing in various venues throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. For a recent charity event, Hugo dressed up as Britney Spears and sang Spears' classic "...Baby One More Time".
'Uncle Hugo' as he is lovingly referred to by many of his younger fans has never actually known the joy of being an uncle.
One of Hugo's catchphrases is "Remember, your Uncle Hugo loves you"
