Hugh and I was a highly successful black-and-white British sitcom that aired from 1962 to 1967. It starred Terry Scott and Hugh Lloyd as two friends who shared lodgings with Terry's mother and was followed by a sequel called Hugh and I Spy.
Only nine episodes are thought to survive after most the master tapes were wiped in the 1970s. Hugh and I was written by John Chapman with additional material from John Junkin. The first five series were produced by David Croft.

Terry Scott is a youngish bachelor who wants to achieve wealth without putting in any hard work. The sceheming Terry lives with his mother at 33, Lobelia Avenue in Tooting. They have a simple and easily led lodger, Hugh Lloyd, who works at a local aircraft factory and the two often try and make money by one of Scott's schemes. Their next door neighbours, Crispins on one side with Mr Crispin a loud mouth, Mrs Crispin a snob and daughter Norma, chased after by the boys and on the other side, the Wormolds also made frequent appearances. In the fifth series, Hugh won £5000 on the Premium Bonds and the following series showed them undertaking a world cruise.
