Hugh M Cummings High School

Hugh M. Cummings, III Senior High School [1] (grades 9-12) in Burlington, North Carolina, and part of the Alamance-Burlington School System. The school opened in 1970 and serves the east side of the city. The school is currently a part of the Mid-State 2A conference.

In 2005 it had some 887 students and 69 teachers. Ethnically the students were 57% African American, 23% Hispanic, 18% white, 2% Asian and <1% Native American.

It's also the home to multiple state champions in football, basketball and track. The "Cavaliers" brought home four state championships in 2007, alone (football, men's basketball, women's indoor track, women's outdoor track).
