Hugh Doherty is an Irish Republican and former Provisional IRA volunteer. He now works as an artist in the Republic of Ireland. He was noted for his role in the Balcombe Street Siege in December 1975 and later for his appearance at the 1998 Provisional Sinn Féin Ard Fheis. He is the brother of Sinn Féin MP and MLA Pat Doherty.[1]
