Hugh Dan MacLennan

Dr Hugh Dan MacLennan is a Scottish broadcaster and sporting academic with specific interest in the sport of shinty. A fluent Gaelic speaker, he has written several books and papers on the subject of shinty. He also played the game himself, appearing for Fort William and the Glasgow University Shinty Club.
A former head of public relations for ferry company Caledonian MacBrayne until his surprise resignation in June 2008, he also has responsibility as director of communications for the Camanachd Association, the governing body of shinty.
