WARNING! THIS IS VERY OUTDATED, AND ALTOGETHER USELESS and in all probability contradicts itself and what I believe in now.


My ultimate goal is one day to conquer, unify, and reorganize the world in order to simplify it, speed up technological progress, and in general make it a better place. After this, I intend to return the world to some type of democracy following this preliminary bill of rights (that happened to be created for a civics class a year back):

The World Bill of Rights or something to that general effect (much taken from french, un bill of rights etc.)

1. Every person is viewed equal before the law. There shall be no discrimination regarding race, gender, age, nationality, association, status, or wealth.

2. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his or her religion or belief.

3. All public institutions shall be secular, and religion shall not encroach on these in any way, shape or form. Public education shall be taught on the basis of scientific method and thought.

4. Religious symbols or matters pertaining to religion shall not be exhibited in public places or institutions, and churches and religious groups shall not be given tax exempt or charity status.

5. Freedom of speech and opinion shall not be abridged unless specifically deemed injurious to others. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association. No one may be compelled to belong to an association.

6. The government shall not censor any information from the public unless specifically deemed essential to national security by court. Nor shall the government obfuscate in any way, the justice and freedoms of the individual. Society has the right to require of every public agent an account of his or her administration.

7. Anyone accused of a crime shall be considered innocent until proven otherwise. In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district where the crime was committed. The accused shall also be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation, be confronted with the witnesses against him, have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his or her favor, and have the assistance of counsel and a lawyer if one cannot afford a lawyer for his or her defense. The accused may only be brought to trial with a warrant, on evidence gathered by legal means against him.

8. Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. The death penalty shall not be incurred on any person.

9. No one shall suffer punishment except it be legally inflicted in virtue of a law passed and promulgated before the commission of the offense. Nor shall a heavier penalty be imposed than the one that was applicable at the time the penal offense was committed. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile. Also, no one shall be held in custody without intent of bringing forth charges in a timely manner. No one shall be tried twice for the same crime, unless sufficient new evidence is presented.

10. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his or her privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his or her honor and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

11. Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of their state. Everyone has the right to leave any country, including their own, and to return to their country.

12. Everyone has the right to a nationality. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of their nationality nor denied the right to change his or her nationality.

13. Involuntary impressment into the armed forces is illegal, unless the nation itself is judged to be severely endangered.

14. Men and women of full age, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution. Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses. Marriage shall not be denied based on sexual preference. People have the right to control their own reproductive rights.

15. Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his or her country, directly or through freely chosen representatives.

16. The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government; this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote or by equivalent free voting procedures.

17. Everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay.

18. Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment. Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work. Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his or her interests.

19. Everyone who works has the right to just and favorable remuneration ensuring for oneself and his or her family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection. Everyone, as a member of society, has the right to social security.

20. Public relief is a sacred debt. Society owes maintenance to unfortunate citizens, either procuring work for them or in providing the means of existence for those who are unable to labor.

21. Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his or her family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his or her control.

22. Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.

23. Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and secondary stages. Elementary and secondary education shall be compulsory. Further education shall also be available.

24. No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.

25. Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his or her property.

26. Everyone has the right to the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which he is the author, but once sold, there shall be no limitations set on the user’s use of the product.

27. Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.

28. Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein. Additionally, the rights detailed in this document apply to any person in the custody of the United States, even on foreign soil.

29. No portion of the people can exercise the power of the entire people, but each section of the sovereign, in assembly, ought to enjoy the right to express its will with entire freedom. Accordingly, all rights not enumerated in this document belong to the states and the people.

30. When the government violates the rights of the people, insurrection is for the people and for each portion of the people the most sacred of rights and the most indispensable of duties.
