The article says this is the longest railroad bridge in the U.S., but I don't think that's right. The Norfolk Southern bridge over the mouth of Lake Pontchartrain measures about 30,000 feet on Google Earth. Is there an authoritative source on this anywhere? Dunncon13 22:14, 15 November 2007 (UTC)


Removed the link to Mike Palmieri's Louisiana Rail Stuff webpage. He lost the computer used to maintain the site during Katrina, as well as all of his electronic and paper records, and has opted not to rebuild the site.Macmedic892 (talk) 02:59, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
