Huey is a village in Clinton County, Illinois, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 196.

Huey is located at 38°36′17″N, 89°17′29″W (38.604621, -89.291508).[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 196 people, 75 households, and 54 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,185.3 people per square mile (445.2/km²). There were 84 housing units at an average density of 508.0/sq mi (190.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.96% White, 0.51% African American, and 1.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.53% of the population.

There were 75 households out of which 37.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.3% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% were non-families. 24.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the village the population was spread out with 29.1% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 33.2% from 25 to 44, 18.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 90.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.4 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $36,250, and the median income for a family was $46,875. Males had a median income of $29,038 versus $17,500 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,695. About 9.8% of families and 7.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.1% of those under the age of eighteen and 14.3% of those sixty five or over.
