Huey's Cooking Adventures

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Huey's Cooking Adventures is an Australian television series featuring chef Iain Hewitson.

It screens Monday to Friday on Network Ten at 3.30pm and the Lifestyle Food channel on subscription television, through Foxtel, Austar and Optus Television. The show began airing in 1997.

It has been frequently criticised for the copious amounts of product placement that occurs throughout almost every episode and for the frequent endorsements given to many businesses.

[edit] Synopsis

Basically the show runs for a 1/2 an hour and provides modern food with an influence. Iain is known to confuse you by repeating or rambling on about something. He also is known for saying quotes like "Mr moon", "Blessed stuff" and so on. The menus are relatively easy and seem to be changed to his style. He always seems to either forget something, drop the food onto the stove or has to wipe the plate with a quote: "wipe the plate as usual, because I've made a rite mess". He originally wiped his plates with tea towels but was more sensible and converted to paper towels.
