Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (often shortened to Hudson Valley FCU or HVFCU) is a credit union in the New York counties of Orange, Dutchess, and Ulster. As of 2007, the institution has $2.2 billion in assets, 193,000 members, and approximately 650 employees.

HVFCU began in late 1963 when a small group of people founded the IBM Poughkeepsie Employees Federal Credit Union, established to provide a basic savings and consumer loans to Poughkeepsie IBM employees and their immediate families. At the end of the bank's first year, they had 14 accounts and $172 in assets.
In 1993, the name of the CU was changed to Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union to reflect their change in membership requirements to serve a larger part of the community.
At the beginning of 2003, membership requirements were changed to allow those who live, work, or worship in Dutchess, Orange, or Ulster counties to join.
Today, the CU offers a wide variety of services, including checking accounts, savings accounts, home and car loans, and VISA debit, credit, and gift cards.
