Huda

Huda is the Arabic word for guidance or guide. In Islamic context, the Qur'an itself is considered a huda, a (true) guidance. Compare: Naseeha

Huda is also a popular Muslim name for girls. In some part of the world, like Indonesia, it is also a name used for boys. Words from the same root are: hidaya(guidance) and hadi (guide [masculine]).

Houda and Hoda are two other common spellings of the name.
