Huck Whitney was born in Birmingham, England in 1966 and was formerly known as Ian Whitney, brother of Joe. After playing bass for many years with unsuccessful local bands such as the Street People, Whitney first came to national attention as the bass player with Birmingham Indie band Delicious Monster (band), who enjoyed chart success with singles Power Missy, Snuggle and Big Love as well as the album Joie de Vivre. Whitney now plays alongside brother Joe in The Flaming Stars.
