Hubert Padgett

George Hubert Padgett is a first class cricketer who played in 6 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1952. A right handed batsman and right arm medium pace bowler he scored 56 runs at 18.66 with a best of 32 not out and took 4 wickets at 84 with a best of 2 for 37. He was born on October 9, 1931 in Silkstone, Barnsley.

He was picked for just 2 county championship matches, against Worcestershire and Leicestershire, but also played against the M.C.C. at Lord's, both Oxford and Cambridge University and Scotland. Primarily a bowler his lack of penetration precluded further appearances for the first team.
