Huamachuco District is a region in Peru.

Earth of the ancient wachemines and dominion of the Huamachucos, forgers of culture, of language and of tradition, placed in the heart of the La Libertad Region, to a height of 3,210m (10,400 feet) above sea level and to 184 km (115 miles) from Trujillo.
