From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hsinchu American School was founded in 2004 by Glory Yeh, a Taiwanese real estate developer. It is located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It joined another one of his schools, named Sagor Bilingual School, offering American style education to grade school, junior high school and high school students. In 2006, HAS moved into the same building as Sagor, occupying the 4th floor of an open style building.

The school offers an American type curriculum, entirely in English and fees for students are upwards of 35000NTD (1100 USD) per semester.

Glory Yeh is the chairman of HAS and of Sagor, his son Jonathan Yeh has been named the superintendent of both schools in December 2006. The chairman plans to merge both schools to reduce costs in 2007.
