I'm not a newcomer ... but thanks anyway

Originally, I started creating and editing articles on here before most of the admins started on wikipedia. I quit wiki for a while due to junk that I did not think was appropriate from other editors. But little did I know, I was receieving junk from admins, power hungry types, not the helpful kind.

First, if you tangle with me for any reason, expect that I will not immediately reply. Because I do not make the mistakes you just made, you know who you are. And I will freely tell you about it so that everyone can see.

My POV is this way because, after bullying tactics I quit wiki editing. I came back on after a many year cool down period, and began rediting, only to find vindication, that those who were bugging me were bugging others and subsequently banned. I have never been banned, nor will I be suckered into an edit war.

You should also note, and you know who you are, I don't consider my edit as written in stone and cherish the people that correct my or anybody's additions in a constructive manner. But don't expect me to be a push-over in the face of Policy.

Oh, if you are the freight-train type, I will step in front of you and knock you off your tracks, especially if I think you are railroading another editor. But other than that, have a nice day, and consider looking before you leap. - Hard Raspy Sci

Tornadic discussions

Thanks for your contributions to Tornado. In case no one else had mentioned it, I just wanted to note that actually removing talk page comments is rather unusual. The best recommendation is actually to archive instead of deleting comments, when they are no longer needed and start to clutter up a page. Thanks again, Beland 23:42, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Template:Met Inst

I've added Ceilometer and Radiosonde. Do you think that Automated Surface Observing System should be added? My problem right now is that there is another article that should be added. I can't remember what it is. As far as I can recall the article had a picture that included a lot of snow and I thought it was similar to the Automated Surface Observing System. Hoping you can jog my memory. I really like the template. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 15:14, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
As a note good additions there. I've removed the edit links on several templates I was working on due to a large streak of vandal edits. They are still editable, of course but not as easily as before. - Hard Raspy Sci 04:12, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

Further additions

I added red links to wind profiler and SODAR, as well as added LIDAR to the template listing. In time I hope to get around to improving the actual articles. There is a generic entry for sounding rockets that concentrates on vertically launched rokcets, although there are various kinds of rocketsondes used in the atmospheric sciences, some launched vertically from the surface, some horizontally from airplanes, etc. Evolauxia 22:18, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Environmental science template

Are you the designer of, among others, the environmental science template? I can't find the code, and it needs to be modified. Any pointers? Cheers, Daniel Collins 19:32, 1 February 2006 (UTC).

Met sci

I axed the underlining from the {{Met_stat}} so the fact that they're links can be seen. 68.39.174.238 02:13, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

F5 as maximum possible rating

I request your input on wording tornado events as F5 as rated maximum possible, specifically Tri-State Tornado with discussion at Talk:Tri-State Tornado. If you don't wish to do so, that's fine, I'm just looking for relatively knowledgeable and interested people to render their input. Evolauxia 02:44, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Evolauxia 05:16, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Environmental science.

Hello Mr Sci. Can I call you Hard? Thanks.... There is a debate going on at Template talk:Environmental science. I also notice that you had removed the Category:Environment from Category:Environmental science. I had added it to the environmental science because the Category:Environment is about anthropogenic effects on the environment and environmental science is the scientific study of those effects. Alan Liefting 04:37, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Nope, not really, I just swapped them, somebody else deleted a link, but don't worry I fixed it. - Hard Raspy Sci 04:46, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Man and Nature; or, Physical Geography as Modified by Human Action

Is the text in this article from the Library of Congress not covered by copyright? Alan Liefting 05:21, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
It is summary from the LOC, not text from the book. According to LOC, it is not copyrighted material unless noted. While the "summary" came from LOC, I still gave LOC as source... -- Hard Raspy Sci 18:20, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Environment

Hello and welcome to WikiProject Environment. Thanks for joining. I also note your constructive edits to the Environmental Technology template. --Alex 09:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi Alex, thanks for the note. It needed work and was straying from its orginal intention. -- Hard Raspy Sci 14:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tornado myths

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tornado myths, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Tornado myths. Superm401 - Talk 16:18, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Never mind. I didn't realize this had been submitted to AFD before. I've removed the prod. Superm401 - Talk 16:21, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
