Sebastian Greerer (born October 21, 1982) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to a contract with the TWF as Sebastian Cain. He is best known perhaps for his tenure in TWF's Asylum under the name Sebastian X.

[edit] Early Life

Sebastian Greerer was born in Cincinatti, Ohio. His father was a carpenter his mother was a secretary, Sebastian has one sister and one brother, sebastian being the oldest. His family watched wrestling weekly, as sebastian grew he realized he wanted to go into the wrestling profession despite his parent wishes. Today his family is proud of the outcome of his short career and all are very supportive.

Sebastian grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio under the name Sebastian Greerer. He was born the son of a priest (John Greerer) and was trained to follow in his fathers footsteps. Sebastian's mother (Linda Greerer) worked as a teacher in a nearby private school. When Sebastian reached the age of 21 his father passed away due to cancer.Instead of taking over the church that his father preached at he went down a more dark path. Sebastian suffered from depression after the loss of his father and was unstable and would not be able to run his family church. On a July night in 2003 Sebastian overdosed on prescription drugs and tried to commit suicide but did not succeed he was found passed out in the hallway of his apartment building by one of his neigbors who had called the police. After the Ohio police took Sebastian in and treated his illness they found news of a hit and run that crippled a young girl. Sebastian was later found to be the suspect in the case.

[edit] Behind Bars

Sebastian spent two years of his life in prison for the hit and run incident. While he served his time in the penitentary he looked back at his life and decided to make a change he read and preached to many inmates in the prison and became known among gaurds as " The Prophet" Sebastian later would change his name to Sebastian X. claiming that Sebastian Greerer was his sinful name. On Sebastian's Release in July of 2005 Sebastian started preaching in a new enviroment. He took his preaching skills in the wrestling ring.

[edit] TWF(SMW)

After spending about a year and a half in the independant circuit he had developed quite a name for himself. In early January of 2007 TWF talent scouts noticed his in ring ability and offered Sebastian a contract to compete regularly for one of the TWF's developemental shows SMW. Sebastian made his debut on january 13,2007 at a SMW house show in Ontario, Canada under the name Sebastian X, cutting a promo dressed as a priest then defeating SMW trainer Al Snow. Sebastian X would Then appear at an SMW ppv "Harvest from hell" (he did not wrestle a match on that night). Sebastian wrestled at another SMW house show defeating Mr.Vain after executing his finishing move famously known as " The Burning Hammer" that he uses quite often and is a modofied death valley driver. Sebastian Would go on to defeat Bone Collecter in his first ever SMW ppv match. After the match Sebastian X would become a leading figure in a stable known as Team X consisting of sebastian X, Jeremy Dart and Troy the Terrible. Sebastian X was scheduled to be in the second Asylum ppv known as "The Royal Bash" where he defeated Chris Kaos in a parking lot brawl.

[edit] Uprising

Team X would later have one of the biggest matches of their young careers. Facing Chris Kaos, SMW Champion Joe Diano and a TWF veteran in Johnny Hazard. This match was originally scheduled to be on Asylum but it was later announced that the match would take place on a series of dark matches before TWF's A show known as "rampage". The match took place on Uprising. The stipulation for this match were that if Team X lost, Sebastian X would choose himself of Jeremy Dart to go to the Asylum brand but if Team X won they would have Troy the Terrible transferred from the Asylum to SMW. Team X would lose this match when Sebastian X was pinned by Johnny hazard. Giving Sebastian his first lost.

Following the Uprising six man tag team match Sebastian X made an announcement basically bashing Team X member Troy the Terrible leading to Sebastian X "kicking troy to the curb" and ending a fued with " the sin Squad" as named by Sebastian X. Sebastian would later punch Jeremy Dart and Troy the Terrible after a tag team match with dart which they lost walking off and saying "we are through".

Sebastian X was in line for a SMW heavyweight title shot as he was advanced in a tournament, but Sebastian never recieved a title match during his tenure with either development brand. He was also in line for an Asylum heavyweight title shot as he was placed in a fatal 4 way qualifying match for an entery into the elimination chamber match at spring breakout for the Asylum title, Which Sebastian lost when former team mate troy the terrible interupted the match causing a 3 way brawl between dart sebastian and troy. the match was won by james diamond who pinned a weakend kaos. After the interference on the asylum show it was said that at spring breakout sebastian x would face jeremy dart chris kaos and troy the terrible in a fatal 4 way match. Sebastian, Dart and Troy put on a hell of a fight which bloodied most match participants. The match was finally won by an uninvolved chris kaos who siezed the moment and was able to pin troy the terrible. This match marked a fued with former teammates of team x. After Team X ended Former Team X member Troy the Terrible alligned himself with the cult of xxxtc.

Sebastian made his return back to smw on the july 12th episode of agression after competing in several matches for the asylum developement brand. upon his return to smw he made these statements "Sebastian X watches out for one man, and that man is Sebastian X" and "I’m going to bounce back into the W column and show to the world why they should fear Sebastian X". Sebatian did come through with his promises as he would later team up with steve bradley to face aries and ashida kim in a tag team match which sebastian was able to win by executing the burning hammer and covering for the win. It was after the match that Sebastian came through on his word stating" he only looks out for one man" as he executed the burning hammer on his tag team partner for lethal lottery, and signaling that he is the man that will be the next SMW champion.

[edit] Asylum Bound

After several years of being the TWF's original developement territory the SMW closed its doors due to the number of shows that were able to be produced Sebastian was one of the last active members to wrestle in the SMW, and he was the last man standing in an SMW ring as the cameras went off he was victorious in the last SMW show's main event. Sebastian X was then immediately signed to the Asylum where it had twice undergone new ownership. Sebastian made his debut on a house show losing to the United States champion James Diamond. Sebastian was rumored to be at the Asylum television tapings but he was no where to be seen. After a few weeks out of the picture Sebastian returned to Asylum attacking Richard Ramsley and costing him the match Sebastian then lost his house show redebut against Ramsley. Sebastian teamed up with Jimmy Justice in Asylums main event to take on the team of Richard Ramsley and United States Champion James Diamond, the long match resulted in sebastian executing a burning hammer and covering Diamond for the three count. Sebastian lost to Richard Ramsley at Vendetta. Sebastians last Asylum match was a loss to his old tag team partner Toxic Troy during the King of the Mat tournament.

On the evening of December 27, 2007 Sebastian was contacted by head TWF promoter Travis Wakeman who showed interest in signing Sebastian to a two year deal. After about a 12 hour negotiating period Sebastian signed the contract that would make him exclusive to the Rampage brand, before signing his contract he started a promo that would last one week revealing his best moments of 2007 and on new years eve he cut the last promo revealing that he had indeed been called up. Despite early rumors claiming he was headed to Primetime new information proved that the rumor was false. Sebastian reportedly gained a few pounds going into Rampage and has reached the 251 mark. Sebastian made his debut on the January 16th episode of Rampage defeating invitee Ian Knoxx and was also victorious in his second match defeating Lenny Armstead to qualify for the Royal Rumble match. Sebastian cut a promo with Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch on the last Rampage before the Royal Rumble. Sebastian entered the Royal Rumble at number 22 and would be eliminated by eventual winner Mr. Kennedy. On the Rampage following The Royal Rumble Sebastian main evented Uprising where he was victorious against newcomer cody rhodes.
