HPNOTIQ is a 35 proof (17% ABV) French fruit liqueur made from vodka, cognac, and tropical fruit juices. It is available in the United States and over 30 countries worldwide. The drink itself is blue in color.
The brand was originally launched in September, 2001 by a company called Wingard and was acquired in 2003 by Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc.
HPNOTIQ is the fourth best-selling fruit liqueur in the United States according to Adams Beverage Media and one of the most popular spirits in the distilled spirits industry.
In 2003, HPNOTIQ started a national ad campaign based on the "It's HPNOTIQ" tag line in major national publications, including US Weekly, Instyle, GQ and others.
