[edit] Re:Editing tips

What sort of editing tips? Well, if you're looking for articles to edit, try the random article button (or I can give you huge lists, and yes, I mean huge :)).

The bad thing is, many people will oppose people in RfAs if the main thing they do is vandal fighting. :( Hmmm... do you think an RfA is a good idea?   jj137 (talk) 01:19, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually, it could. I mean, when RfAs fail, people generally expect candidates to wait at least 3-6 months (roughly) before retrying. Then they will ask you questions about how you've improved since your previous RfA, etc.   jj137 (talk) 01:25, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

How about March 15? STORMTRACKER 94 Go Sox! 01:30, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism?

You left on my talk page something about Vandalism, you failed to mention which page was reverted and considered vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 23:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC) Yes but what page, I hardly limit my "vandalism", which usually expresses it self in the form of removing original research and opinions. For instance I've been occupying my self lately by removing Trivia expressing Fan opinions from Babylon 5 episodes. DO NOT vandalise my User PAge with your welcome thing, I know your rules and your welcome thing and how to sign, I do not on the other hand care for them. Had one, I do not wish another, unless there is a rule that states I NEED an account to make more than a certain amount of edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 23:58, 1 February 2008 (UTC) I already said I didn't care, I've never been to my user page before you started posting there and I'm only going there because a thing comes up at the top of the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 01:03, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

You have still failed to tell me exactly what article I "vandalized", my original reason for acknowledging you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 01:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Should I leave the Trivia title when I delete all of the trivia within? And that still isn't specific, I asked "exactly what article" and "which page". You can't be saying you object to me deleting the unreferenced, original research, trivia (that often goes along the lines "Fans believe blah blah blah" or "this is a clear homage/reference to [insert geek subculture icon]", and I don't mean that in a negative way, I'm rather geeky myself, Warhammer behind me, Star Wars and Dragonlance to the right, WWII stuff and Battletech stuff to my left over half of my bed) in the articles for episodes from the first 3 seasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 01:42, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your RfA

I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you have too few edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.

I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! Maxim(talk) 17:02, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Really? That's kind of suprising. What about Brodie Croyle? RC-0722 communicator/kills 23:45, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Fantasy Baseball

Head-to-head sounds good. It don't know the differences, but will probably look into it.

How were you able to get CBS Sportsline to work? It still tells me an error has occurred.   jj137 (talk) 01:37, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Just checked it right now, the error still comes up :( - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
A player name? I created an account, what do you mean by 'a player name'? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:06, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes - in the 'Toolbox' (under the searchbox) it should say "Email this user" when you are on my userpage or my talk page. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:14, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Are you sure you gave the right email address - try refreshing the page. Also, can you give me a link where you can join a league - I can't find it. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:23, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't mind the date or the time. We have to check when JJ, and stormtracker are open. Do you have a link to the website where I can join your league? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:26, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Hmm...ok lets wait. Ask JJ and stormtracker if Friday at 3:30 p.m. eastern is good. I know JJ is in the same time zone as me not sure about you or stormtracker. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Yep - so you are 2 hrs. behind me (I think) is it 7:40ish over there? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:37, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
So are you for 1:30 on Friday? (I changed the time above to 3:30) Oh, and Stormtracker is in Eastern too. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:41, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
IDK, we'll see, it depends on JJ, and Stormtracker. Until then I have to wake up at 6 tomorrow. Gotta go to sleep. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:45, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
It says I need a group password, do you know what it is? (I followed the directions until the end, and when I searched for the league, nothing came up. I must be doing something wrong.)   jj137 (talk) 02:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
If you confirm an email in Special:Preferences, it will work. You can always remove it if you don't want it there ;)   jj137 (talk) 03:15, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
And, I really don't care when we do the draft, but I can probably tell you if I can't do it at a certain time.   jj137 (talk) 03:16, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
No, does the email-confirmed not work?   jj137 (talk) 03:17, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
(Don't really want to post it here, will probably get spammed :() If you just put in an email address in Special:Preferences, confirm it with the message in your inbox, you can use Special:Emailuser/Jj137, then remove it if you want. The email addresses aren't "public", you can only know what they are if you get sent an email with one.   jj137 (talk) 03:20, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fantasy baseball

OK, check your mail. (I had just forgotten to finish confirming my account, that's why it didn't work.) Now, are we creating a new league? "League of the Wiki" is full with random people.   jj137 (talk) 20:59, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Yep, those are us. It looks like the draft is this Saturday at 1 P.M. (EST)   jj137 (talk) 02:26, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

What's the link to your league?   jj137 (talk) 02:26, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
I guess so, if you want to.   jj137 (talk) 02:45, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Great! Are you able to make the draft Saturday?   jj137 (talk) 02:56, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Of course I'll give ESPN a try. We have two days to get a few more people, so I'm not sure how that will work out.   jj137 (talk) 20:09, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Have you asked Milk's Favorite Cookie or Stormtracker yet?   jj137 (talk) 20:22, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, you should probably go ahead and do that. If we can't get enough people for the CBS league, it will be good to already have that ready.   jj137 (talk) 20:46, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
BTW, you might want to see this...   jj137 (talk) 20:48, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
I think you're pretty active. Most people just added their name to the members list and haven't done anything since.
It is sad that JA10 left... I don't understand why so many good editors are leaving these days. I still don't know why we know our "number" in the project, but if you want to be #3, that's fine :)   jj137 (talk) 20:36, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: ESPN Fantasay Baseball

Yeah, ESPN is better, but if we have enough people by the time, lets not go to ESPN. Also, what do you mean by 'Change my background'? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 20:36, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Is it? JJ said it looked cool. I can read it pretty easily... But if you really think so :(. I'll keep it till additional people complain. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fantasy baseball

(I also left you a message above, if you didn't see it yet) It looks like the league is full now. Just wondering, do you know what would happen if someone missed the draft tomorrow?   jj137 (talk) 21:20, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Hmm... do you think we should? Our league is full now with 10 people.   jj137 (talk) 00:29, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
That's a really good point. Should you go ahead and mention it to Stormtracker and MFC?   jj137 (talk) 02:03, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Sure! That would be great. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:14, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Looks like Milk already thinks it's a good idea. We'll have to wait for Stormtracker's response --  jj137 (talk) 02:16, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Not really - I have a lot of HW - but as usual I'll save it till Sunday. I was just watching TV. Why? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 03:03, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Oh, uh, ask JJ. I don't think its possible with 2 people. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 03:09, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
That sounds pretty good. I'll join whenever you tell me to. STORMTRACKER 94 Go Sox! 12:58, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
I should be there most of the time.   jj137 (talk) 16:43, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, maybe all of the time. Do you know how long it will be?   jj137 (talk) 17:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Nothing I can think of right now...   jj137 (talk) 17:05, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't know. When I said "most of the time" I probably should have said "the whole time". It's kind of hard to tell without knowing how long it is.   jj137 (talk) 17:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Yep.   jj137 (talk) 17:15, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Semi-retirement

No, I didn't see that. Wow... very sorry to see you go (a little late there...). I've been pretty inactive (or at least not on here as much as I would have liked) for most of the month.   jj137 (talk) 01:53, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, I know, but it always feels odd when people on here leave.   jj137 (talk) 23:07, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Lol, that's hilarious...   jj137 (talk) 19:21, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it was an awesome game. A nice play by Jacoby Ellesbury as well. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie ( talk / contribs) 21:59, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

That was awesome.   jj137 (talk) 00:31, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reply

Oh my god, I am really getting tired of these sort of things... half the reason I've barely edited in months.   jj137 (talk) 03:42, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, a lot of times I do. People are a lot more critical of the things you do and it can be really frustrating.   jj137 (talk) 03:21, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] MLB 07: The Show

Your recent conduct on the page and talk page of the aforementioned article is way out of line and is wholly uncivil; I've started a discussion at the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents for it to be reviewed. The discussion can be found here. AllynJ (talk | contribs) 11:41, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

I've left a message regarding this matter on the article talk page. Please take a look when you have a moment, thankyou. Exxolon (talk) 12:45, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

I think i've solved the dispute on the article. I hope you're happy with the results. See the talk page for more info. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 16:24, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
