[edit] Summary

This view of the Ramparts in the Tonquin Valley, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, was taken from a ridge of Oldhorn Mountain that I scrambled up on July 3, 2004 with members of the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club. The large lake is called the Amethyst Lakes. The plural of Lakes was given the lake as the original surveyors thought they had two lakes. The error was found later but the name was never changed. The lake in the distance on the right is Moat Lake in Moat Pass.
