Many of the references provided for this article are from the website itself therefore is in violation of WP:VERIFY "If no reliable, third-party sources can be found for an article topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it." RyanLupin (talk/contribs) 20:53, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Ryan, this article has citations from many reliable sources. Please explain your addition of the WP:VERIFY tag. --Cheeser —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.85.7.250 (talk) 21:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Jeff, references 1 through to 5 are from HPANA, not a third-party therefore they are in violation of WP:VERIFY. All citations must be from a reliable third-party otherwise they shouldn't be included. If you have sources from Mugglenet for example which provide the same information, they would be classed as a valid source. RyanLupin (talk/contribs) 22:05, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Those specific references are there to substantiate the claims that HPANA was invited by and attended the Warner Bros. events; the written reports, pictures and video interviews prove the site was there beyond a shadow of a doubt. For external citation of the site's notability, one need go no further than to read JK Rowling's personal endorsement or the several articles in the Press section that describe HPANA, not to mention the detailed profile by the New York Post. You have an obvious bias against the site (namely one of the staff members) -- proven by your blatant vandalism recorded on 10 July 2007, which was never reported. Thus, you are not in a position to question the authority or notability of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cheeser (talk • contribs) 22:19, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sources must be from reliable third-party, please read WP:ADVERT, WP:EL, WP:RS, WP:COI. - Angel (T•C) 11:43, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Spellbound2005.jpg
Image:Spellbound2005.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
