[edit] Green space

"It offers green space that is otherwise in short supply throughout the vicinity" — where has this come from? I know the Shoreditch Twat doesn't like to admit that any part of Hackney outside Hoxton Square exists, but Shoreditch Park is only about 100 yards up Pitfield Street, and Haggerston Park a 5 minute walk up Hackney Road (plus the churchyard of Shoreditch Church itself, right across the street). I've removed this unless anyone can find a reason to re-add it iridescent (talk to me!) 20:38, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, that's my fault - I wrote that after having worked in the area for a little while but evidently didn't know it enough (I always walked there from Old Street, which is fairly grim). -- Earle Martin [t/c] 07:38, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

No worries - the "Hoxton crowd" does generally pretend that the rest of Hackney exists behind an invisible Berlin Wall, so the White Cube promo material & similar stuff tends not to admit that any of the surrounding streets exist. This (and the other Hoxton/Haggerston articles) could probably be due with a rewrite-expand at some point, as the opening of London Overground is going to bring both areas to a lot of attention, but we've still a couple of years to get that done iridescent (talk to me!) 12:23, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
