Hoxtolgay

Hoxtolgay is a town in the Dzungaria Basin in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, located at 46°34′N, 85°58′E, about 200 miles north of Ürümqi. Hoxtolgay is an oasis town of a few hundred persons. The town has also been referred to as Khoshutologoy and Chia-shih-t'o-lo-kai.

Situated 30 miles WNW of a point listed as the farthest point from the sea (at 46°16.8′N, 86°40.2′E) by the Guinness Book of World Records, Hoxtolgay may qualify as the town remotest from the nearest coastline, roughly 1645 miles from the Arctic Ocean (see Continental Pole of Inaccessibility for other candidates).
