From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC) is the Midwest’s premier lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) health care organization, leading the region in addressing the comprehensive health care needs of people in the LGBT community. In 1974, a concerned group of medical students founded Howard Brown Health Center as a response to rising rates of sexually transmitted diseases among gay men. In subsequent years, and with the advent of the AIDS crisis, Howard Brown Health Center developed a comprehensive array of services including primary medical care, mental health counseling, substance abuse services, prevention and education, research programs and case management. Howard Brown, named for Howard Junior Brown, was incorporated in 1976 as “Howard Brown Memorial Clinic” and is dedicated to providing the best healthcare to the LGBT community and all who seek outstanding, personalized, culturally competent care.

When categorizing this article (You can help!!) I noticed that the text seems to be duplicated from this site. The site is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License so it shouldn't be an issue but I thought it would be appropriate to give credit where it's due. The article still needs to be improved and formatted to wikipedia standards and checked for point of view issues. That is all. Stardust8212 01:36, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
