Talk:How to Draw Manga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I proposed this page for deletion because it appears to be an advertizement for and a list of the books in question, which do not appear to be notable. If any editor disputes this, they may delete the {{prod}} tag. I would be obliged if they would then either notify me or tag the page with the {{subst:afd}} tag. Stifle 13:35, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
All pages on wikipedia will advertise the item they talk about. As there are so many of these books available I think they are notable. I don't see what the problem with the list is, we do have a list of other books like the ...For Dummies books. See List of ...For Dummies books - Gerard Foley 13:40, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
This page isn't an advertisement, it should be kept and expanded based on what can be gleaned from it. I don't believe a series of notable books on art direction needs to be AfD'd, so I won't be tagging it for that, either. --badlydrawnjeff (WP:MEME?) 14:35, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
OK, looks like I jumped to a conclusion. I've tagged the page for expansion and referencing instead. Have fun! Stifle 15:47, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] ISBN Numbers
Should ISBN numbers be included in the list of books? Gerard Foley 16:08, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sources
- This article or section does not cite its references or sources.
The source for the information is the books themselfs. I don't know how to add this in but hopefully someone else will. Gerard Foley 16:19, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:How to draw manga.jpg
Image:How to draw manga.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
