Talk:How do you like them apples

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

http://ask.yahoo.com/20061212.html as well as http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=them+apples state that the phrase originated in world war 1 with a mortar that resembled a 'toffee apple'

[edit] Something similar

There's also a saying I know of, which goes "if you don't like the apples, don't shake the tree", which is said for instance if a person asks another a question, and the response is unsatisfactory or disagreeable. I've no empirical basis for linking the above saying to the subject in the article, but they seem to fit together quite well in a hypothetical rebuff... [edit] More films

It's also said by Matt Damon in the video about Sarah Silverman fucking him from the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Clearly a reference to Good Will Hunting (and of course her breast size). Wiki-worthy?
