[edit] Title

Proper grammar for the book title would be:

The Handbook for the Girl Guides; or, How Girls Can Help to Build Up the Empire
Note the semicolon and comma. Can anyone check this? --Gadget850 ( Ed) 18:27, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
  • In "Story of the Girl Guides" (referenced on article page) the title and authors are given like this:
THE HANDBOOK FOR THE GIRL GUIDES
or
How Girls can Help to Build Up the Empire
by
Agnes Baden-Powell
in conjunction with
Lieut.-Gen. Sir Robert Baden-Powell, K.C.B., etc

I've reproduced the caps and centring as given in the above book. The facsimile version of How Girls… is on sale at the Girlguiding UK website, but unfortunately the site doesn't show the title page, or even the front cover. It's called "How Girls can Help to Build up the Empire" on the product page. Kingbird 03:55, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
