Howie Storie

Howard Edward Storie [Sponge] (May 15, 1911 - July 27, 1968) was a backup catcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1931 through 1932 for the Boston Red Sox. Listed at 5' 10", 175 lb., Storie batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

In a 12-game career, Storie went 2-for-17 for a .200 batting average with two runs and a .286 on-base percentage without extrabases or RBI.

Storie died at the age of 57 in his homeland of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
