Howard Steven Brown

Howard "H" Brown(born Howard Steven Brown)is the son of anti-violence activist Gloria Brown and founder of the philanthropic foundation Beyond the Dream. Former investment banker for Goldman Sachs.

Howard Brown was born on May 19, 1982 in Philadelphia Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Wagner Middle School. He graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, majoring in Finance and Economics. Brown's mother is a teacher and anti-violence activist currently working with Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representative Dwight Evans, representing the 203rd District (Philadelphia County). In 1998, Brown's mother worked with Representative Evans and current presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton on a Philadelphia anti-violence campaign after the murder of his sister Latoya Brown.

Brown graduated with honors from Temple University, and after graduation he became an investment banker with Goldman Sachs. However, he always wanted to run a foundation for kids and eventually began to work on an independent foundation.

Howard is the godson of NBA legend Julius Erving.

In January 2008, Howard purchased a $1.11 million Tribeca apartment in New York City. Best friends with Chelsea Clinton's boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky.
