Howard is a small town in Queensland, Australia, located 284 km north of Brisbane and 37 km west of Hervey Bay.
The Bruce Highway passes through the edge of the town and Queensland's main north-south rail line cuts through its centre.
The main street of Howard consists of a Post Office, Milk Bar, Butcher, Bakery, Pharmacy, Pub, Bottle Shop, Newsagency, and IGA Supermarket.
Howard was the home of Andrew Fisher, first Federal Member for the electorate of Wide Bay and first Labour Prime Minister of Australia. The house he built and lived in, in Howard, still stands.
