How We Quit the Forest is the second studio album from Rasputina, released in 1998. This album is now out of print and difficult to find in shops, mostly due to Columbia's (their label from 1996-1999) dissatisfaction with its sales. Former Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna produced the album and provided its many sounds and samples.
A long box edition was also manufactured, previous to its wide release, for promotional purposes. It contained a story-book with art put together by Melora Creager, also featured as a CD extra program activated when used in a computer. It, as well, is very difficult to find.
