How Now Stakes

The How Now Stakes is a Group 3 Australian thoroughbred horse race held under handicap conditions, for mares aged 4 years old and upwards, over a distance of 1200m. It is held at Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne.

1999 onwards held over 1200m

1999 – 2004 was a Listed Race
2005 onwards Group 3.

1999 the race was known as the ‘Cranbourne Daihatsu Stakes’
2000 - 2001 the race was known as the ‘Dairy Farmers’ Milk Stakes’
2002 the race was known as the ‘Dubai Convention Bureau Stakes’
2003 - 2004 the race was known as the ‘Emirates Racing Association Stakes’
2005 the race was known as the ‘Dubai International Stakes’
2006 onwards the race has been called the ‘How Now Stakes’.
