How It Was with Dooms

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

How It Was With Dooms is a novel "dictated" by Xan Hopcraft to his mother, Carol Cawthra Hopcraft. It tells the true story of a young boy's friendship with the family cheetah on a ranch in Kenya. A children's book with lots of pictures by Carol Hopcraft, who is a wildlife photographer, it will appeal to adults as well.

The book was adapted (loosely) into a film in 2005, under the title Duma.
