How I'm Comin' was the first single released from LL Cool J's fifth album, 14 Shots to the Dome. It was released on March 16, 1993 for Def Jam Recordings and featured production from Marley Marl, QD III and LL Cool J. How I'm Comin' proved to be a minor success, making it to 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 28 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs, but not as successful as the next two singles released from the album, Back Seat (Of My Jeep) and Pink Cookies In a Plastic Bag Getting Crushed By Buildings.
