[edit] Plot

The plot is centered around two underachieving pot smokers - Silas P. Silas (Method Man) and Jamal King (Redman). When Silas' friend Ivory (Chuck Davis) dies, Silas uses his ashes as fertilizer for a new batch of marijuana. When taking their THC (Testing for Higher Credentials, as opposed to SAT) exams for college, the pair are both sitting outside the exam hall attempting to smoke some marijuana, but neither is able to do so without the help of the other. Soon they discover that smoking Silas' new batch of weed summons the ghost of the recently deceased Ivory, who gives them the exact test answers and helps both of them pass with perfect scores.

Several prestigious colleges offer them scholarships, suggesting different learning atmosphere and programs, but none of them seem to be what the two are looking for. Eventually they find what they are looking for, when Chancellor Huntley (Fred Willard) suggests the two sign up at Harvard University. They accept the offer and continue using the magic weed to succeed at the university. However, their weed is eventually stolen by the nerdy volunteer student guard Gerald (T.J. Thyne), who commences to smoke all of it except for a few tiny leaves. The "Ivory" now gone, they try first to dig up and smoke the remains of John Quincy Adams but do not have the same success as they had with their "magic" weed. Eventually they have to try studying to avoid being kicked out of college, but don't manage to do so.

Meanwhile at the campus they meet several interesting students such as Tuan - the Asian child-prodigy, Jamal's fellow pot-smoker I Need Money (Al Shearer), Bart (Chris Elwood) - a snobby rowing team captain, George Cactus - their roommate who is forced to perform humiliating acts as part of a fraternity initiation, and others.
