"How Can You Tell" is the seventh single by 1960s British girl singer Sandie Shaw. Released at the end of 1965 this uptempo Chris Andrews-penned track was the first Shaw single since her initial release not to make the UK Top 10 - peaking only at Number 21. At the time Shaw did not like the song, feeling that it wasn't "cool." However she has stated that in hindsight her views were misguided and now rather likes the arrangement!
